Your data, and what we do with it.

You are about to connect your inbox, your calendar and your payments to a company you have not met. This says exactly what happens to them. Questions go to roni@unik.style.

Who we are

Operari is a product of UNIK Platforms Inc. When you use Operari, we are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us about anything on this page at roni@unik.style.

What this policy covers

Operari lets you hire an AI employee for a specific job and connect the accounts she needs to do it. That means two different kinds of data pass through us, and they deserve to be described separately.

  • Your data as a customer: who you are, what you pay, and how you use the product.
  • Your business's data, reached through the accounts you connect: emails, calendar events, payment records, files, and messages. We handle this on your instructions so that your AI employee can do the job you hired her for.

What we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work. Specifically:

  • Account details: your name, email address, and the company name you give us.
  • Billing details: your plan, your subscription status, and the payment records Stripe returns to us. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Connected accounts: access tokens for the tools you connect, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Stripe, or Slack. These are encrypted at rest and are used only to perform work you have configured.
  • Work your AI employee does: the messages she sends and receives on her own address and channels, the actions she takes, and the approvals you give or withhold. This is what makes her work reviewable and reversible, which is a feature and not a by-product.
  • Product usage: pages you visit and features you use, so we can tell what is working. We do not sell this or share it with advertisers.

Why we are allowed to hold it

We process your data to provide a service you asked for and to meet the contract between us. Where the law requires consent — for example, before we connect to a Google or Slack account — you give it in the connection flow itself, and you can withdraw it by disconnecting the tool.

We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working, which covers logging, abuse prevention, and diagnosing faults.

How AI models are involved

Your AI employee is powered by large language models operated by the providers listed below. To do her job she sends them the context she needs: the message she is answering, the record she is working from, the instructions you gave her.

We do not use your data to train models, and we use our model providers under API terms that exclude the data we send from their training. Model providers hold the data they receive only as long as their own abuse-monitoring rules require.

Who else touches it

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We do use a small number of service providers, each for a stated purpose, and each bound by contract to handle the data only on our instructions:

  • Anthropic — The models your AI employee thinks with.
  • OpenAI — Secondary models for specific tasks.
  • Supabase — Database and authentication.
  • Vercel — Hosting for this site and the application.
  • Stripe — Your subscription payments, and payment data an employee reads when recovering a failed charge.
  • Twilio — WhatsApp, SMS, and voice, when an employee uses those channels.
  • Meta Platforms — Delivery of WhatsApp messages sent by an employee.
  • Slack — Your workspace, when you connect one.
  • Google — Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, when you connect them.
  • ElevenLabs — Voice, when an employee takes or makes calls.
  • Forward Email — Delivery of email sent from an employee's own address.

Where it goes

Our service providers operate in the United States and, in some cases, elsewhere. Where personal data covered by UK or EU law leaves that jurisdiction, it moves under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and billing records for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards only as long as the law requires us to.

Work records — the messages your AI employee sent, and the actions she took — stay for as long as your account is open, because the ability to look back at what she did is part of what you are buying. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise them within 90 days, apart from anything we are legally obliged to retain.

Disconnecting a tool revokes our access to it immediately.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop processing it. Write to roni@unik.style and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and to correct it; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.

We will never charge you or degrade your service for exercising any of these rights.

Security

Credentials for your connected tools are encrypted at rest with a key held separately from the database. Access to customer data by our own team is limited to what is needed to run the service and to answer you when you ask for help.

Your AI employee asks for your approval before she acts until you decide otherwise, and every action she takes is visible to you and reversible. That is a security property as much as a product one.

No system is perfect. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay.

Children

Operari is a product for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the last substantive change.
